Do you receive Social Security Disability Insurance or Supplemental Security Income?
Are you the representative payee of someone who receives Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income?
We can help you with your benefits planning! Attend one of our free sessions to learn about how we can help you get back to work with SSDI and SSI. WIPA is a program funded through the Social Security Administration to help individuals like you find employment and still keep your SSI/ SSDI benefits.
Disability Rights Iowa’s Work Incentive Planning and Assistance Team (WIPA) now provides benefits planning services to Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income beneficiaries to both Iowa and Illinois. We invite you to attend any of our free training sessions if you would like to learn more about how work will impact your disability benefits.
WIPA is a grant funded program sponsored by the Social Security Administration that provides work incentives planning, assistance, and outreach services to Social Security beneficiaries who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI), who want to pursue gainful employment/self employment.
Disability Rights Iowa (DRI) staff members who provide WIPA services are called Community Work Incentives Coordinators (CWICs). They focus on you, your choices, your future, and especially your work goals.
CWICs disseminate accurate information to beneficiaries receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and/or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and the work incentives available under these programs.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to attend Disability Rights Iowa events. If you require a reasonable accommodation in order to participate in this event, please email us at wipaia@driowa.org before Monday, August 26th, 2022 at 5:00pm.
