AEA Reform

The Iowa State Legislature passed a new law in 2024 that changes how education services are delivered to students with and without disabilities. This FAQ answers some common questions on this law.

Health Care Self- Advocacy

The Americans with Disability Act (ADA) of 1990 prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities in several areas.   It requires that health care entities and facilities provide full and equal access for people with disabilities.

Private School Voucher

In 2023, the School Voucher Bill was passed in Iowa granting parents and guardians a monetary incentive to send their children to private school. This FAQ discusses how this bill effects students with disabilities.
