Empowerment and education are key to self-advocacy. Our team provides you with educational tools, empowerment tactics, and legal advice so that you can defend your rights with confidence.
DRI is active in many systemic projects that advocate for the rights of large groups of people. We use our legal power, expertise, and ambition to make real change for Iowans affected by systemic discrimination.
When cases require individual representation, DRI exhausts all administrative remedies and pursue legal action if necessary. Our diligent team of representatives prioritize resolving your issues and protecting the individual rights of people with disabilities or mental illness.
We assist individuals who receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) with benefits planning and securing gainful employment. Make informed decisions about your future with the help of our skilled Community Work Incentives Coordinators.
