Get to Know Your Rights: A Conversation on Equal Access to Healthcare and Special Education

Dubuque — Disability Rights Iowa with Mental Health and Disability Services, Dubuque County Health Department, Visiting Nurses Association, and Dubuque County Emergency Management is hosting an in-person Accessible COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic alongside an Equal Access to Healthcare and Special Education presentation. This event is a part of an initiative to inform individuals with disabilities of health information regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. This clinic is free and open to the public.

There will be a chance for attendees to receive a door prize, as well as free refreshments made available throughout the four hour event. Attendees are encouraged to learn about the COVID-19 vaccination and for all interested participants to receive the vaccine.   The vaccine provided at this clinic will require a second dose, assistance will be provided to help schedule the second dose should participants need it. If you are interested in attending the event but have already received the vaccination you are welcome to attend our presentation to learn about your rights to equal access to health care and to education. Booster shots will not be provided at this clinic at this time.

This event location has been provided by Hills and Dale Community Center.
