The privacy policy below applies only to online information. By entering Disability Rights IOWA’s site, you consent to this privacy policy. Disability Rights IOWA (known hereafter also as DRI) will post any changes to the privacy policy on this page and display the date changed.
Data Collection
Entering DisabilityRightsIowa.org does not give Disability Rights IOWA any of your personal information. Only general, aggregate information like region, device used for access, amount of time spent on a page, pages accessed, etc. is collected when you enter. This information may be used with Google Analytics to improve DRI’s website so it can be useful to as many people as possible. Your personal information, including name, phone number, and email address, will only be gathered when you voluntarily provide it via online forms. DRI does not use tracking cookies.
How We Use Information
The information you provide to Disability Rights IOWA will never be sold, and DRI will only share it with authorized third parties, like governmental agencies who require it. For example, during a requested callback, a DRI Intake Specialist will collect your demographic information (education level, ethnicity, etc.) so DRI can provide it to its funding partners for data tracking. Below is some information about online forms:
- If you sign up for the Disability Rights IOWA newsletter, DRI will use your email address to send new newsletters directly to you. To unsubscribe from these emails, please refer to the Changing or Deleting Personal Information section below.
- When you fill out the Let Us Help form, DRI will use that information to call or email you about the issue you want help with.
- If you submit any other online form like a satisfaction survey or a suggestion for DRI’s priorities, DRI will only use that information to improve the quality of DRI’s purposes and determine what DRI’s priorities should be.
- And finally, if you email DRI with a question, DRI will only use that information to contact you and answer your question.
Data Security
Disability Rights IOWA maintains any information on a secure server that only DRI staff can see and use. Any information sent to governmental agencies or the like will be protected by those agencies according to their privacy policies. Any discrepancies about information that was transferred to DRI’s funding partners or other authorized third parties should be directed to those parties, not Disability Rights IOWA. Any personal information collected on websites that DRI links to is not covered by DRI’s privacy policy. Once you click away from Disability Rights IOWA’s website, DRI won’t be held accountable for content, comments, and the like on those other websites.
Data about Children
Disability Rights IOWA does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13 years of age. DRI’s website is not built to attract children.
Changing or Deleting Personal Information
If you signed up for Disability Rights IOWA’s email newsletters, you can discontinue these emails in one of two ways: You can locate and click the “Unsubscribe” button at the bottom of your Disability Rights IOWA newsletter email, or you can reply to the newsletter email and write “Unsubscribe” in the email’s subject line.
