
Public Health Advocate
Danielle Workman received a BA in Sociology with a Social Work Concentration from Simpson College in 2011. Currently, Danielle is a student at the University of Iowa pursuing a Master’s of Social Work. Danielle comes from a strong background in Home and Community Based Services through Lutheran Services in Iowa. Danielle joins the DRI team under a newly formed role as Public Health Advocate, utilizing skills to assist individuals with disabilities to be able to choose and live in community based settings. Additionally, Danielle is focusing on empowering people with disabilities to know and understand their rights in accessing public health care. Outside of work, Danielle enjoys going to the races with her husband, taking their Black Lab to the dog park, as well as snuggling with their cat at home.
