Staff Attorney
Greg Bal received his Bachelors in Psychology from Iowa State University and his Juris Doctorate from Drake University. Prior to joining Disability Rights Iowa, Greg worked as a Judge Advocate General in the Army, a State Public Defender in Des Moines and Boston, and as the Director of Student Legal Services at the University of Iowa. When not working, Greg enjoys cycling, kayaking, and photography which he uses to address social justice issues such as immigration rights and climate change. His photos have been published in The New York Times, Vogue, and the books Queer and Trans Migrations and Fight Global Warming Now.
