Frequently Asked Questions

Medicaid provides essential support and services to the disability community. While the program is designed to support and improve the lives of people living with disabilities and mental illness, services are not always adequately or fairly provided to the disability community. Disability Rights Iowa offers legal representation to combat unfair practices related to healthcare accessibility and treatment.

We advocate on behalf of Iowans with disabilities and mental illness, who deserve proper access to health services and support. DRI is passionate about improving the lives of those in the disability community by increasing access to quality medical care.
