Intake and Voting Rights Specialist
Fran is the Intake and Voting Rights Specialist as Disability Rights Iowa who joined the team in July 2026. Originally from Boston, Fran attended Drake University earning high honor. Fran was awarded Drake University’s Global Anthropology Award for distinctive application of anthropological principles in grassroots community engagement during her time as a student. Since then, Fran has worked as a Crime Victims Advocate, and a provider for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a part of the DRI team, Fran looks to combine her experience in social and legal environments into comprehensive advocacy for the rights of individuals with disabilities. Outside of work, Fran loves to crochet, cook for her friends and family, attend concerts, and spend time with her cat.
